Important information

This plugin requires a static IP address (Default is 10.0.0.1).
Every change to the server IP MUST be reflected into the plugin's menu file.

stresslinux is a minimal linux distribution running from a bootable cdrom, usb, vmware or via PXE (wip).

stresslinux makes use of some utitlities available on the net like: stress, cpuburn, hddtemp, lm_sensors ...

stresslinux is dedicated to users who want to test their system(s) entirely on high load and monitoring the health.

Installation Instructions

Download stress031-XXX.tar.gz to /

extract stress031-XXX.tar.gz file:

tar -xvzf ubuntu110-XXX.tar.gz

create StressLinux folder

mkdir /tftpboot/er/shares/stress/

Download stresslinux-0.3.1.pxe.tgz to /tftpboot/er/shares/stress

extract stresslinux-0.3.1.pxe.tgz file:

tar -xvzf stresslinux-0.3.1.pxe.tgz

copy vmlinuz to appropriate location:

cp vmlinuz /tftpboot/er/plugins/stress/
