Appliance Installation

ERPXE software is pre-installed and pre-configured for trouble free deployment.

The Appliance is based on CentOS Mini Linux using VMware Hypervisor.

A Microsoft Hyper-V and Oracle VirtualBox versions will be released further this year.

Custom Installation

Choosing a TFTP Service

Any TFTP service should be ok for ERPXE:

For Linux/Unix:

- Open TFTP Server
- tftp-hpa
- Advanced TFTP

For Mac:

- TFTP Server 3.4
- MacTFTP Client 1.2 (Shareware)

For Windows:

- Tftpd32
- TFTP Server for Windows
- Open TFTP Server


NOTE: Some modules are not supported by Windows OS due to NFS limitations.


Most recommended:

CentOS (Tested on CentOS 5.0-6.0) , using xinetd-tftp as a TFTP server.

Installing ERPXE

Linux:

  • Extract erpxe.current.tar.gz to root "/" directory as root.


Windows

  • Extract erpxe.current.zip to root "C:\" or "D:\" directory.

DHCP Configuration

  • if you already using DHCP solution in your environment you should configure it to forward TFTP calls to ERPXE. read Configure your DHCP for more information regards.
  • update the gateway in ERPXE to your current router/gateway.
  • ERPXE configured as 10.0.0.1. many modules needs this IP. if you need another to change this you should read Change IP article.

Configuring ERPXE

Check the POST-Installation info for your downloaded version or within the doc folder inside your distribution.
