Blackbuntu is distribution for penetration testing which was specially designed for security training students and practitioners of information security.
Blackbuntu is Ubuntu base distro for Penetration Testing with GNOME Desktop Environment. It's currently being built using the Ubuntu 10.10.
Linux Installation Instructions
Download blackbuntu03-ARCH-XXX.tar.gz to /
https://sourceforge.net/projects/erpxe/files/plugins/
extract blackbuntu03-ARCH-XXX.tar.gz file:
tar -xvzf blackbuntu03-ARCH-XXX.tar.gz
Download Blackbuntu 0.3 ISO Latest Version to /mnt/ :
http://www.blackbuntu.com/download
Mount ISO file to temporary location (/mnt/cdrom/)
mkdir /mnt/cdrom/ mount -o loop /mnt/bb03-ARCH-final.iso /mnt/cdrom/
Blackbuntu x86: Copy initrd.gz , vmlinuz , custom.seed , filesystem.* to appropriate directory: (LOWER CASE ONLY!)
cp /mnt/cdrom/preseed/custom.seed /tftpboot/er/plugins/blackbuntu/i386/custom.seed cp /mnt/cdrom/casper/vmlinuz /tftpboot/er/plugins/blackbuntu/i386/vmlinuz cp /mnt/cdrom/casper/initrd.gz /tftpboot/er/plugins/blackbuntu/i386/initrd.gz cp /mnt/cdrom/casper/filesystem.* /tftpboot/er/shares/blackbuntu/i386/casper/
